The new co-production platform Producers Lab Hamburg, created by European Film Promotion (EFP) and the Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein (FFHSH) in collaboration with the Creative Europe Desk Hamburg, will launch this autumn during Filmfest Hamburg (Germany) on October 1st and 2nd.
Ten producers selected from EFP’s Producers On The Move programme will meet ten aspiring producers from Hamburg to combine creative, technical and financial energy for international co-productions.
During two days of seminars, pitching sessions, one-to-one meetings and a Hamburg location tour, the 20 producers will have opportunities to exchange know-how and discuss ideas for concrete co-productions. All of the participants have a track record of successful project development and production.
“We are delighted by the great response from the former Producers On The Move participants,” says Renate Rose, managing director of EFP.
Prior to Producers Lab Hamburg, Germany, 24 producers from Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are participating in the fifth edition of Producers Lab Toronto, which runs 3-6 Sept during the Toronto International Film Festival (4-14 Sept).
