Following several weeks filming on location at Versailles in France, The Moon and The Sun, an adult fable based on Vonda McIntyre’s Nebular Award-winning novel, has entered the second phase of its shoot in Melbourne, Australia.
The Moon and The Sun tells the tale of Louis XIV whose quest for immortality leads him to capture a mermaid in order to steal her life force. At the same time, the monarch’s illegitimate daughter, Marie-Josephe, is brought to court in order to pay off war debts.
Complications arise when Marie-Josephe forms bonds with not only the mysterious mermaid but also the handsome sailor who was her captor.
