Leading up to the March 25th release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ action adventure Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, director Zack Snyder and the film’s Batman and Superman – Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill – kicked off their world publicity tour in Beijing and experienced the excitement of Chinese audiences firsthand at appearances across the city.
A powerful line-up of partners – including TaiKoo Hui, Mengniu, Red Star Macalline, Doritos, Dell and KFC – has also joined with the Studio to bring the legendary Super Heroes of DC Comics to life via exciting, innovative programs and activations throughout the country, from mall installations to giveaways to inspiring lines of collectibles.
The events are all part of Warner Bros. Pictures’ multi-tiered campaign to ignite the imaginations of moviegoers across China as they gear up to see their favorite Super Heroes battle it out on screen.
As this wide-ranging campaign unfolds, Warner Bros. will bring fans into the events via its official site and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice page, and via all social media platforms using the hashtags #BatmanvSuperman and #WhoWillWin.
From director Zack Snyder (Man of Steel) comes Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, starring Oscar winner Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) as Superman/Clark Kent in the characters’ first big-screen pairing.
Directed by Zack Snyder, the film also stars Oscar nominees Amy Adams (American Hustle, Man of Steel) as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) as Lex Luthor, Diane Lane (Unfaithful, Man of Steel) as Martha Kent, and Laurence Fishburne (What’s Love Got to Do with It, Man of Steel) as Perry White; Oscar winners Jeremy Irons (Reversal of Fortune) as Alfred, and Holly Hunter (The Piano) as Senator Finch; and Gal Gadot (the Fast and Furious films) as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince.
Snyder directed from a screenplay written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, based on characters from DC Comics, including Batman, created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, and Superman, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The film is produced by Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder, with Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and David S. Goyer serving as executive producers.
The film will be released in IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 3D and 2D theaters worldwide beginning March 25, 2016, from Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
