Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, has announced the release of Wish I Was Here—Music From The Motion Picture, the official soundtrack to the first movie directed by Zach Braff since his indie breakout hit Garden State.
The original screenplay for Wish I Was Here is by the director and his brother Adam. A success at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, the new movie tells a funny, touching, universal story of what it means to be at a major crossroads as a parent, spouse, and child – all at once.

The Wish I Was Here soundtrack showcases music hand-picked by Zach Braff, including exclusive new songs from The Shins, Bon Iver, and Cat Power + Coldplay.
Wish I Was Here —Music From The Motion Picture will be available in stores and digitally Tuesday, July 15. A special 12″ double gatefold, 180 gram vinyl version of the soundtrack will be released Tuesday, August 5.
