Redbox, which offers affordable new-release movie and video game rentals, announced Wednesday a new distribution agreement for 2017 with Paramount Home Media Distribution.
It will allow consumers access to Paramount titles on DVD and Blu-ray Disc the same day they are available in stores.
The announcement was made by Galen Smith, CEO of Redbox, and Bob Buchi, President, Worldwide Home Media Distribution, Paramount Pictures.
“This distribution agreement is a win for Redbox, Paramount and most importantly consumers, who will continue to have access to Paramount’s quality lineup of movies for as low as $1.50 a night,” said Galen Smith.
“We’re pleased to continue our business relationship with Redbox that began over seven years ago,” said Bob Buchi, President, Worldwide Home Media Distribution, Paramount Pictures.
“They are a vital destination for millions of consumers and an essential part of our commitment to delivering our world-class films to fans however and wherever they want them.”
